Security guards and private security guard businesses are not regulated by the State. Individuals guards are not licensed through the state.

Guards are still required to adhere to all state private citizen firearm laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- NOTE: A Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) permit does not qualify a security guard to carry armed.
Fingerprinting/Background Check
Federal guidelines now require that all security guards be fingerprinted for a national background check.
